Unsurprised and unimpressed

I really wished I was surprised by the comment Evil Glenn® of It's a Pundit received on this post regarding Catherine Baker Knoll today.

How somebody actually has the backbone to blame the family, not Ms. Knoll for her comments is beyond me. Well I guess I can't call it backbone since they didn't since they posted with a non-existent web address and probably a fake e-mail address as well.

So I'll pose this question to the general blogidohexiweb: If Catherine Knoll wasn't hoping for the support of the slain veteran’s family why would she make the statement that "Our Government" wasn't supporting the war to them?

I hope they both catch the clap and that their nether regions are infested with the fleas from a thousand rabid gophers.

First off, you're assuming she really said that. Funny how no one can corraborate that statement. And no one is blaming "the family", I'm blaming Rhonda Goodrich, the sister-in-law (what about the widow? How come we haven't heard from her?) In my neighborhood we know exactly who Rhonda is, she's a hack not unlike you. And she's taking this to the bank, it gets her on TV and on the radio (paid gigs), so... (Wasn't that the charge against Richard Clarke's book and Paul O'Neil's book? "They're just trying to make money." Rhonda's making more money off this through TV and radio appearances than she makes at the store she works at. How could you trust the word of someone who has a financial stake in you trusting her?) Plus, people like you adore her, she's taking you for a ride and eating this up. When are you guys going stop being such dupes? Aren't you tired of being used and exploited, not to mention WRONG?

I feel terrible for the marine's widow and his family, both for his loss in this senseless, unnecessary war and for having such a shitty sister-in-law, exploiting his death like this just to get recognition and support from gullible pinheads and to make some sort of misguided political statement based on a lie (wow, who'd have thought people from the Right would have to resort to LYING?) I hope the rest of the family tells her to shut up (no one else seems to be complaining, have you noticed that?) and put this horrible episode behind them.

It seems to me it was the LIBERAL PRESS who first reported this, the liberal Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Since when do you believe what the LIBERAL PRESS has to say?

Here's Rhonda;
